What is your name?
Judson Michael Hudson

What do you do for a living?
I am a high school student, currently enrolled as a senior.

How old are you?
17

What Sims fan-site do you operate?
Simprograms.com

How did you go about creating it?
I use pure html for the pages, created in Microsoft FrontPage. I created it because I wanted a site to list all of the tools to edit various things with The Sims.

What's your role on the site?
Webmaster, I run the site myself.

How long have you been playing the Sims games?
For The Sims, I started in March 2000, and before that, I played all of the other maxis games, starting with SimCity around 1995.

What drew you to them?
I have been a fan of Maxis ever since I played SimCity. There is so much to do, playing god is quite fun. Also, it is interesting to see how the game developers laid out their games so others can sneak their way into the files and edit them. That’s what always kept me busy – as well as reinstalling ;)

What is your favorite Expansion Pack?
I would have to say Unleashed. After all, who doesn’t like this expansion pack? It gives you animals, and whole new game play!

Do you play any other games, or types of games as fervently?
Computer games, no. I stick with Maxis games, because, well, I just happen to like their games. However, when I play my Gamecube, I tend to play all sorts of games. Favorite game by far on there has to be Viewtiful Joe!

Do you have any great Sims fan-site stories?
Ok, I do have one a story…It is kind of embarrassing but what the heck:

I was in 8th Grade and it was 2 months after The Sims was just released. At first, I wasn’t all into it because it was 50 bucks, and that is a lot of money to raise at that age. However, I did get it. One day in Band Class, me and my friend were messing around in our seats. We were having a punching contest. You know, to see who can hit the hardest. I punched him first, and he punched me back. Well, that kind of hurt, so I punched him in his funnybone, which really ticked him off. He pushed me out of my seat and on to my trombone, which was on the floor beside me. I was kind of huge at that time, so you can image what my instrument looked like. Anyways, he didn’t have the money to get it repaired, and he felt bad about what he did. In return, he bought me a gift. And that is how I got the game.

That’s the end of the story. My poor trombone, it practically looked like a pancake. Not to mention it was $600 to repair. Try explaining that to mom and dad, heh.

What can visitors expect when they come to your site?
They can expect almost all of The Sims programs, and a huge, huge collection of tutorials to help them do many things.

What are you most looking forward to about The Sims 2?
How about a sim version of Patrick Barrett so I can put him in the swimming tool and take away the ladder….err….I meant Custom Content! ;)

Now that you've seen it, what do you think of EA? The Sims 2?
Well, to be honest, I really didn’t like EA that much. They are the reason why they don’t want an updated Transmogrifier out as well as other things. However, after I saw the many new things for The Sims 2, especially the tools that we will be getting, has changed my mind.

What do you think of the Create-A-Sim tool?
It’s mind blowing! I think this is the way all create-a-character programs should be like, and hopefully in the future, other gaming companies will follow this idea!

How'd you like meeting Will Wright?
Meeting him was awesome. After hearing so much about him, I felt like I already knew him. He also looked like he got some sleep before the event, since he didn’t have those “sleepbags” underneath his eyes from lack of sleep.

Any parting thoughts for the Community?
I suggest that if you have a Sims site, or if you want to start one, go right ahead. It’s a fun hobby, no doubt about it.
